Let me break my opinion down: If you are 100% fine with 64 GB of storage, get the iPad Air because it is significantly cheaper than the pro. However, if you are not fine with 64 and need more, the Air comes with 256 GB of storage but then for that price, it is only $50 cheaper than the 128GB pro. If it was me, I would pay $50 more for 120 Hz, better mic, Lidar sensor, better camera, 8 cores and more RAM.

I went with iPad Air 4. I think for college note taking it is going to be more than enough. Also the setup I wanted for the Pro was more than $1000 (256gb, Apple Pencil) and I can't justify that price when its going to get outdated in like three months.

I was in a position looking for an iPad upgrade several months ago. I made the decision to scope around for resale iPad Pro 2018 models. Found a 2018 12.9” model for around $750. Never regretted that decision.

If you’re in doubt, don’t rule out buying a resale 2018 iPad Pro if you can find it. It’s remarkable.
