The base storage for all iPads should be 128gb.

Excellent review, nailed the main problem of Air 5, which is it's wasting a M1 chip in a 60hz display. M1 makes a lot of sense in Ipad Pro with 120hz.

I feel like it's a little ingenuine to say that the extra performance doesn't do anything just because the screen is only 60Hz. In gaming, that is certainly true, but in any other power hungry task, video and photo editing in particular, you have nearly, if not the same performance as the base models of the iPad Pro. The performance improve does seem to be pretty good, just not so much for gaming is all.

I would really like to see an ongoing series of comparisons between the iPad models, to see which features each has, and which features each lacks. How does the new Air stack up against the recently-introduced iPad Mini 6 and regular iPad? I'm thinking about eventually buying at least one iPad, and the iPad Pro M1 is way too expensive for me.

I have the Air 4 and it’s a great ipad I agree it’s not worth upgrading to the air 5 all the extra performance is for not but killing the battery

I think the features the iPad Air 5 should’ve got are the ultra wide back camera and flash.

I'd actually prefer the a15. Runs cooler and more efficient. Biggest plus is the additional ram.

I went with iPad Air 4, got a refurbished one off Amazon with cellular for 400 after tax. Bought specifically for flying. Pretty much using it for ForeFlight app and notes from air traffic control. If ima game I’m using a self built desktop pc. 4g has the longer signal.

Yes, but the iPad pro 11 for $750 has only 128gb of storage, not that much for video editing. While the $659 iPad Air 5 has the same M1 chip with $256 gig of storage. As nice as the speakers and high refresh rate might be, bigger storage is king, and better for the long run. iPad Air 5 now has the same processing power with the M1 Chip, faster USB C reads, faster read and write speeds, and it brings 256gb of storage, that is a win win for me.

Really surprised by the usage of the M1 in the iPad Air. I thought for sure they were gonna use the A15. You should make a vid comparing the new iPad Air to the iPad Pros to see if it's worth the price difference. Great job!

The 60HZ Display is real deal breaker for me. Basically the M1 Chip is Overkill for this iPad Air 5.

If you have the iPad Air 4 (which I have), you don't need to upgrade to the new M1, unless you really really want the newer model, 'cause these differences aren't that much for a regular user.

I decided to buy the gree iPad Air 4. I love green, so I am good with my choice with what I do on my iPad. I don’t need the M1 chip.
