My pc would not enable speakers when headphone jack was pulled out. I had to manually change it in settings. Then the speakers would not turn off when headphone jack was plugged back in....Then when I pulled out the headphones the tiny onboard speaker started to operate!
This vid fixed everything. Downloaded the new driver, restarted PC, all good now👍

I did exactly what the video directions described. After I correctly entered the CAPTCHA, my browser screen displayed
the message "sorry! please download again".
However, in the lower bottom left of my computer a 252mb file of the 64bit driver file was being downloaded. 🤔

For those of you who have been able to get 5.1 surround sound via optical spdif using patches and following steps on a YouTube video tutorial (a simple search will give you all the info), be aware that the 2021 realtek driver update breaks the surround sound option. It's best to stick to the 2017 version+patches if you use spdif output and want an option for Dolby/DTS surround sound.

Thank you, my microphone couldn't work and all my friends couldn't hear me so I checked a problem detecting software and I and it said RealTek R wasn't updated so I clicked update but it said download pro for free so I came across this video and it just helped so much.
