"Once that battery deteriorates you have to throw the whole controller out" I have never seen a controller battery stop working, my launch PS3 controller is still going strong. Also you can make the controller microphone automatically turn off every time you turn on the controller, it's an option in the settings.

I haven't tried the Series controllers yet, but something that Sony took note of from Microsoft, is the protective ring around the analog sticks. It really makes rotational movement buttery smooth.

Regarding the Series X Controller size difference: most people probably won't notice the smaller grips much, but for people with tiny baby hands like me, it's a HUGE improvement for comfort

The dual sense is so immersive! Playing Ghosts of Tsushima and feeling the pitter patter of feet or the flute vibrating each note has been the best feeling! Ps5 for the win!!!
