It's insane that alt f4 can corrupt elden ring save file.. if there is any game you will alt f4, ITS THIS!

I beat the game, and it froze as i was going to ng+, 90 hours, all gone because i alt-f4 to get out of the frozen game. I feel sick

Question: When I start elden ring I manage to get to the character selection menu, after i create a character I see a black loading screen and that is the moment when my game crashes. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

for XBox i was able to fix by uninstalling and reinstalling the game

For me it happens when I start a new game or try to load an existing save. I deleted all the saves and tried to start a fresh game and still its doing it.

oh yeah it worked for me for anyone if it happen just verify the integrity of game files for me it happen when i was updating idk what i did but i did saw it say my file got corrupted (one of the reason being is while updating it u dont notice it and u shut down the pc) hope this help

Hi! I followed the guide in the video and the description. I'm still not able to load into the game on this save file, the progress bar gets stuck at full.

I believe my save file may be corrupted since I alt-f4'd out of the game when I died.

Any suggestions will help!
