Before joining Hellenism, I kept hearing Aphrodite everywhere, literally everything felt like a reference towards Lady Aphrodite. Therefore she is the first deity I have chosen to create an altar towards ❤️❤️

Artemis and Apollo are my patron gods. Idk why I chose them. I just always felt connected to them and I really adore the twins. So I chose them as my mains and honestly, it's been 5-6 years and I'm very happy with my choice. They both have helped me so much and I just love them.

I’m glad you mentioned the mind getting negative and playing tricks on you. As soon as I became a devotee of a particular deity, I had a very negative mental image of her, which I think was my mind playing tricks on me. It hadn’t happened before or since.

Ironically, the first patron God I chose was Lord Ares. I was 15, and I was starting HEMA. I was also heavily into the OG God of War games, but unlike Kratos, who turned his back on the Gods, I instead turned my back on Christianity and towards Olympus. It was Ares who I first reached out to, for aid and for protection. And being a martial artist and a swordsman, I knew he would have my back. After that, I decided it was best to include many other Gods, starting with Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite, Hercules and Athena. I even included Hephaestus at the time, as I was starting to craft my own chainmail armor, even though I was not as good as I am now. Before long, I was worshipping 12 Gods, and I still do to this day.

You just helped me with my confidence in my connection with Zeus. I had doubts as to why I felt drawn to him but now that doubt is gone.

what a lovely video! It took me a while to find which God to start with, I thought I'd go with Hades and Persephone at first but then i really felt like Hestia was the perfect deity to start with. I've been worshipping her for a few months now and it's going super well! i also started worshipping Artemis recently and i want to worship more but i don't have the time or energy.

Hestia and Persephone are my patron godesses. I'd always loved Persephone since I was small, and after researching, I felt drawn to Hestia. I first heard of Hestia while doing some late-night watching of greek myths on youtube and came across a video about the Vestal Virgins. I then spiraled down a rabbit hole of Hestia and Vesta and eventually, after a year of researching Hellenism, I decided to dedicate a candle to Hestia next to Persephone's pomegranate candle, and I've recently started veiling for her as well!

Thank you for this, I’m trying to find the gods/goddesses I want as my patrons. I’ll inform you which ones once I decide
Edit: I’ve chosen Persephone as my patron goddess, she’s always been my favorite and I have always felt a connection to her

During my time in kemeticism everytime i saw Aphrodite's altar pictures went up on amino i felt myself being pulled into the love and beauty of everything and then when i read pagan portals book on Aphrodite i felt the need to discover Hellenic pagan because of her.
Apollo goes back to when i was a kid but more so when i watched a documentary on him 18yrs ago about the oracle of Delphi when i took up to worship him even more so when i discovered Hellenic pagan.
