We live in Australia, and my father went to Mt Athos about 30 years ago and met St Paisios, who knew his name, where he came from, how many children he had, etc, even before my father opened his mouth! A true saint.

When my grandmother was on her deathbed, my mother saw a man in a black cassock walking the doorway that she did not recognize. Shortly after her passing, my brother had brought an icon home of St Paisios that was gifted to him from someone at our parish. I was a catechumen at the time, my brother further along his catechism. My mother told is that he was the one she saw that day.

I’m Catholic and I was a brother for a religious order. One of my studies was on The Eastern Church and Saint Paisios was one I particular. Absolutely cried a bit when I read a little about him in The Mountain of Silence. Such a Holy Man along with others in mount athos! GBU all my brothers and sisters✝️☦️

Our most holy and humble Agios Paisios that reached Theosis...Love Saint Paisios He is my Saint have his icon always next to me ..has interceded for me many times ☦️ Thank You Jesus ☦️

Some people just have that calmness and you know they know God and have found that peace, that calming and even when they are alive people talk about them "You know him/her, he/she is going to be canonized one day, he/she is a living saint". They simply do not belong to this world at all.

Kyriacos Markides about 17 yrs ago and learned a lot about Elder now Saint Paisios Mountain of Silence is a very powerful book

Reminds me of St. Padre Pio or Pietrelcina.

The Lord has enlightened Padre Pio what people would confess, and they were going though.

Such lives of the Saints would tell us how much they are closer to God, and how they love our Lord.
