But it’s not just the sights and atmosphere that makes Asakusa a fun destination- the neighborhood is bursting at the seams with delicious street food, hidden sake bars, and charming confectionaries.

Join Shizuka as she experiences an Asakusa street food tour, led by experts in the area. From popular street snacks to hidden gem shops perfect for souvenirs, this video provides a guide to some of the best locations in the neighborhood. Shizuka samples sake in a cave made from lava rock, enjoys a festive meal on Hoppy Street, and takes on the challenge of eating the strongest mint in the city!

I love mints. Just bought 4 packets of the 10x strong mint yesterday. It's now officially the gold standard for any mints I buy from now on!

This was a fun video walking tour. I have never tried menchi-katsu when I visited Japan in 2019 but it's on my list of "must try". Loved the different places you visited. And I can only imagine how karai that mint must've been. Thank you for sharing this!
