Damn Uncle Jim, this is your best street eats video yet. Do one for Sapporo and Fukuoka. Maybe Hiroshima too.

Yeah, I'd say Asakusa is worth the trip. It can get real crowded and it's more expensive than individual stores outside but the quality is still relatively decent/can be really good. It's also a nice experience and several different types of food are all there for you to try one after another.

I learn something new every time I watch one of Jimmy's vids. I had never heard of soboro ppang before, but knew of the Japanese dish soboro, which is usually ground chicken or pork. It turns out that the Korean ppang's name came from the Japanese dish due to the crumbly topping (which is why the Japanese call it melon pan). Interestingly, the term soboro itself came from Portuguese. Lots of Japanese words came from Portuguese, including some of its most famous foods, like tempura, castella—and most interestingly—pan (from pão), which then made its way to Korea as ppang.

Most influencers that I’ve seen that tried the No. 7 matcha ice cream absolutely hated it 😂 you’re the first one who actually liked it enough to keep eating
