I think something that makes Alex more iconic than these new skins is that when they were added to the game, we got a new player model. If these new default skins came with new models, they'd interest the player base more.

I remember on one occasion late at night I said "this character creator makes me want to swear violently" while trying to create an animal in Bedrocks character creator. this is before I found the "Import" button. I appreciate that they wanted the customization for everyone, but I'm MORE glad they added an import button that doesn't cost money.

I find it so cool that the minecraft devs use blockbench, it is one of the few things that mojang adopted from the community

The defeat skins are nice but you still have to appreciate the work skin creators put into there custom skins

I've always liked how Alex in both name and appearance could represent someone of any gender. Steve is iconic, but Alex will always be the most universal skin for me.
