Many remember the news ten years ago. Noah's Ark Ministries International (NAMI), mostly a Chinese team, did make an expedition to Mount Ararat back in 2009 and reached the remains of a large wooden structure at a 13,500-ft. elevation ( 4100 mts ) and dated it as 4,800 years old, claiming that it was with high certainty Noah’s Ark. It seemed almost too good to be true. This would be the most amazing archaeological discovery, and enormously back up the biblical story of Noah's flood, and give credence to the biblical account in genesis.

I think this discovery could be very important. I had not paid much attention to it before--indeed, was skeptical. But since I have been looking into it more, studying the images and talking to a number of people involved--including two people I know and trust who have actually been to the site, I am convinced it is not a recent fraud or fake--it has been up there for some time--so it is a legitimate archaeological site. As such, it deserves a careful study--if possible.

Quite astonishing! My 5 cents worth is that what we see here, is the first home dwelling after the flood. This could well be Noah's home he built from the wooden boards of the Ark itself, the rest of the arc which can be found further down the mountain slopes at its present excavating location. Truly exciting and wonderous!

A piece of the gopher wood was brought down for analysis back in the 1930's. There was a book written about this journey. I borrowed the book from my pastor's library back in the 1970's. He is retired and moved away, so I don't have access to him anymore. Proof has been provided multiple times, but deniers have their heels dug in deep. Why? Because to accept the validity of the find would verify that Noah's journey was not fictional, God is real, and we actually DO answer to a higher power. Too much for many folk.

This is amazing. I've been wanting an update for so long on this expedition. All news I could find was that they were fooled, that it was staged without their knowledge, and then everything was silent. Which caused me to believe it was in fact the ark they they were in. Thank you for this !

So, there's a giant boat like structure buried on the side of the Ararat mountain in Turkey. The boat is buried beneath rock and ice and mostly in tact. Many people have visited this boat and they are trying to figure out how it got there. There is one recording known to man that gives us an explanation how and why it's there. but many don't want to except that explanation. Why?

Very interesting info, plus this seems more actual to me than what has been said about another discovery of an ark miles from the actual mountain site itself and looking like a ship formation. But, there is another factor people perhaps never conclude to….that of various seafaring/trade boats, swiped away with the water rising, and the great flood could have capsized them with the waves and wind. There had to have been previous civilizations before the great flood occurred, All these fantastic monuments and megastructures had to have been built before it. If present society thinks we are more advanced than our ancestors, how did they acquire so much knowledge to have built such enduring qualities of a builder, when today’s modern world cannot even lift such weights as those of our ancestors? Has there been a sample of the wood taken? I’m VERY interested to know the type of wood that this is.

The ark was made of Gopherwood which is an ancient term for laminated timber. There is no such species as a Gopherwood tree. Gopherwood has been discovered on the Dupinar site which is much lower down the valley and which is now an official Turkish archeological excavation site.

It is unfortunate they do not mention Gobekli -Tepe and its possible relation to the Ark Gobekli tepe is also in Turkey and has carvings of animals on all the stones and was deliberately buried in order to preserve it.

I'm familiar with Ron Wyatt's discovery, and I also remember watching one of these documentary films before Wyatt's films. If I understand his accounting correctly, it might be possible that the structure further down in the valley is missing part of its whole. I'm thinking, 1st: Do a carbon testing of the structure for dating and determine the type of wood, then 2nd: Find a suitable time for the weather to allow taking LIDAR, et. al., to compare both parts.

It's hard to say if this was "for sure" Noah's ark. Because I seem to recall reading about a monastery that was built up pretty high on Ararat, that was even around during the 1800's. Until a major earthquake happened around 1840. This could be wood from the monastery? But perhaps the expedition knew of this already? Also, the Biblical account states that the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Plural. It could be somewhere else as well. However, if this is actually wood from the Ark, that would be amazing. It's all fascinating nonetheless.

Also, this video of just the insides is pretty scant. I would love to see an overall "outside" view of where this place is, or at least some sort of frame of reference or context. Because it would be very easy to find a buried building from 100 years ago in the snow/ice and claim it's something else.

About every 5 years there is ultra warm summers where the snow melts back completely. I don't know why these expeditions insist on going when the MT. is completely covered with ice and snow.
