Very helpful.

I remember reading Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning." It was very helpful. I recommend it.

Informative and inspiring video in such a short time frame! I feel like this video came at the right time for me. I'm an adjunct instructor and Ph.D. student in math and I have been struggling to find purpose in my work. I really want to quit my Ph.D. program because it doesn't seem meaningful or purposeful, other than to the handful of others in the field that are familiar. This narrowness makes it difficult to find purpose, and I don't enjoy it that much. I want to internalize the messages in this video and try to revitalize myself. Thank you so much, and keep fighting the good fight to help and educate people!

It's amazing how writing down goals helps. I turned my entire life around and finally have the career I wanted but kept saying I'd never have. It took 5 years to get there.... and I'm way older than I intended to be now that I'm "here", but writing down goals and taking baby steps made it happen. Mostly because the simple act of writing things down helped me weed out the bullshit and actually define what I really wanted. Go figure.

Thank you, Georgia. I've been binging your channel the last couple of weeks, especially the Suicide Squad material, and loving every bit of it. Your caring and enthusiasm is a gift, and I feel richer for engaging.

I know I've spent a long, long time searching for meaning. I could go into a long diatribe about being a survivor of conservative christianity, and how that stifled any sense of purpose, but that's a whole other subject that would tangent from what we're talking about. My own purpose, I think, comes from acknowledging the world as it is, and doing little things to make it better, whether that be for myself or for others. I try to be a good friend, I try to do the things a good person would do, and aspire to leave less suffering than I found, which means addressing the problems that land on my doorstep. That goes a long way to feeding the better part of my soul.

Also, I make art. It took me decades to learn to get "good", but even sucking at it was worthwhile. Even "bad" (not really bad; just less polished) art adds something to the world, and what you say about making mistakes is so important. We're not defined by our mistakes, though I think some people fall into that trap. I know I have. But seeing value in the imperfect is such an incredible tool, and I'm glad that you're getting the word out.

Wonderful video, Georgia! Lately, I've been thinking a lot about how I spend my time and what I should be doing, especially during my free time. I've been wondering about how to make the most of it. But, i think a good idea would be, as you said, to think of what matters to me and write them down.
I have different hobbies and things that I'm decent at and am interested in. But, I think it'd help to list them all out and focus on one thing as well as use a realistic time frame and go for a short-term goal.
"Let yourself fail" - this is difficult for me as I'm very hard on myself. You're right though that it's okay to not succeed the first time.
I didn't think about the journey. I've been focused more on goals, but not nearly as much on appreciating the journey. I definitely need to cherish it more.

Great video again. Thank you for sharing your tips! :).

Great video. This can be such a challenge but good advice. If I may add a request, I would love to see a Doom Patrol video especially on Crazy Jane. It was very meaning full, in my opinion, to see a character living with a dissociative disorder not made out to be a monster, helpless, or a fake. Please & thank you.

Not entirely sure how this works is the thing I feel most important thing to accomplish *is* to get things right the first time.

Excited because of this video! You look at the Movie "Shang Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings". First Asian Super Hero, and what that does for hearts of Asian people to see themselves reflected in that light, and for OTHER people to see them in that light. And accept them in that light. It reduces racism. The last movie I saw with an aboriginal hero was played by a white guy: Johnny Depp as Tonto. Taylor Lautner as Jacob from Twilight was also not native. Billy Jack? White Guy. There are shows depicting mostly unrelatable life on the Rez. Native kids see that already. What they DON'T see, is someone who looks like them onscreen being the HERO. That would give them aspirations and hope. And it would help to reduce racism for others to see us like that. Nobody sees us a heroes. Even when we are heroic.

For now, It's English. It can't be just good, It must be perfect. I'm going to learn every word from everywhere. I'm confused about -ing, -ed stuff sometimes. But I'll write perfect sentences as soon as I can.
