How to install CodeBlocks 17 with GCC 8, from MSYS2 Mingw-w64, on Windows 10

Install instructions used in the video:
pacman -Syu
pacman -S mingw-w64-x86_64-toolchain

This worked by me, thks. I tested that the exe ran in w64 mode on W10 (with the Task Monitor). Before that I needed to copy and paste 3 .dll from the mingw64/bin folder to the exe folder.

What's the difference between installing it this way or manually downloading the files and adding them to CB?
