IP Camera lag, disconnect, network abnormal, glitch, connection problem H.264 and H.265

If you are having issues with intermittent disconnect or any lag on your NVR you can try to adjust the resolution, I would recommend 1080 being the lowest. Frame rate is also another option and also you can play with the rest in the Video settings. I listed what I suggest to do first below.

What to try: (You can do them all to really drop the bandwidth consumption, but again try it one at at time first to preserve quality as much as you can)

1. If it is available H.265 (H.265 has a better compression than H.264 so this will make the stream less heavy and can help)
2. Adjust Bit Rate (1500 is a happy medium as far as still getting high resolution but then lighter bandwidth consumption)
3. Change Frame rate
4. Adjust resolution

Thank you for this video. My H.264 network video recorder was intermittently on for approx 3.30 minutes and off for 33 seconds repeatedly. I checked out loose connections, changed cables, etc. I eventually disconnected the internet cable from the H.264 video recorder. This intermittency immediately stopped. I recently had fibre fitted changed from ADSL internet connection. Is this the problem and do I need to reconfigure the video/internet set up?

I have Bagatta IP cameras. Sometimes they time out. Why? I have them hooked up to wifi that comes with apartment development where I live. Can anything interfere with these cameras such as a device or remote, say if someone is attempting to not be seen on cameras? They are encrypted

Hi,
Thanks so much for your really helpful videos. I wonder if you can help me? We have a Technomate 704 NVR (with no HDD) and a Technomate single TM 505 camera and use the Antiference Clearflow Beam 2 access point and receiver for transmission using PoE switches. After doing a factory reset, we are trying to set up the system in the house before moving it to its new location and are unable to view anything on the camera. We just get the message 'No link'. When I logon to the guarding vision webpage and add the NVR device, it's status is 'online'. When I enter the NVR IP address in the web browser (which intermittently works, it doesn't always o to the log in page) and log in, we keep on getting the message to download the plug in (web components), which I have done, but the message does not disappear so not sure if this is the problem? I downloaded SADP last night and the NVR is showing as active. We have tried to follow your videos but still have not managed to see anything. Can you help? The system is set up as follows
1. There is a PoE switch from the mains plug with the access point (WAN port) plugged into the PoE port of the PoE switch and the LAN port of the PoE switch is free. The access point has a cable going from its LAN port to ethernet port 2 of the NVR.

2. There is another PoE switch from another mains plug with the receiver (WAN port) plugged into the PoE port of the PoE switch and the LAn port of the PoE switch on the receiver has a cable connected to a port on the camera.

3. The NVR LAN port has a cable going to port 2 on the BT hub 6 router, a USB mouse connected and a VGI cable to a Hitachi 22HB11J06U colour monitor(resolution 1920 x 1080). It doesn't work with HDMI cable either and we previously used a black and white Panasonic TX L19X10BW LCD television (1080 resolution), but thought that might be the problem so switched to the Hitachi and it still doesn't work.

Any help to get the live viewing to show would be gratefully received as it is used in a calving shed and my dad has fractured his back and could really do with it working at the moment.

I believe the NVR firmware is v3.4.93 Build 170831 and the camera v 5.5.0 Build 170927 and it will not let me upgrade these.

Thanks in advance

Rhian

Hello, first I apologize that I am using a translator.
I have a DS-7604NI-E1 DVR and 3 IP cameras installed, before they were working well, 2 days ago there was a power outage in my house and apparently something happened but the DVR was factory reset and when installing the cameras I They appear as "offiline (network abnormal)" and I cannot install the cameras, what can I do? the cameras appear with this ip: 192.168.254.2 / 3/4
