I think people who have been playing Souls games for awhile shouldn't make "Elden ring for dummies" videos this is the first and ONLY video that truly explains things in a way new comers or people who are a little slow like myself can understand. I wish you had more views because this video holds soo much more value than others and you not having as many views as other channels do is an absolute shame.

350 hrs into the game and I never really understood or paid attn to scaling- I simply made my character OP and used "meta" builds I liked at the time- etc. This was so hugely helpful in getting my friends to understand more than I did, on their new journey! Very well done, and so simply explained.

At about 4:00 I thought for a second you weren’t going to talk about how the base number dropped and was in red. I was anticipating being left confused. But you said it! The ashes of war for that item lowered the base damage because you lost dexterity but you gained bonus damage.

It seems so easy and yet

My question is : if have a weapon and change the ash of war and turn it cold, does the cold damage only apply when i do the ash of war ?

Hey is there a way to change or add a ash of war slot onto my weapons? I am currently using the Golden Halberd and Gargoyles Black Halberd and cant seem to change the ash of war. I feel like I need to however to add the heavy infusion and get better weapon scaling, do you know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Ive leveling the sword i started with i got a bunch of new weapons but i feel my sword is still more powerful than the new stuff i got idk but i wanna expand my options

its best to upgrade your weapon with no ash of war to know how to level your particular stat?

Ok, so how come when I use the fire attack (Night and Flame sword) I make 1000+ damage? how does the math work out there?
