I’m so happy you like the sweatshirt! Also the ironing tip is so real it makes me act like a crazy person with my own costumes but it makes them look so much neater in pictures or if you’re onstage. And I’ve been trying to think of ways to add extra details to my costumes too

Ok listen you're right about the ironing thing, it truly and really does improve the look, however: how dare you tell me to iron anything no I will not ❤️

I have made a Hatsune Miku ''leek'' prop out of cardboard and a long strip of wood, and it works SO GOOD! its super pretty and I have wrote my number and stuff if I lose it, and I'm so excited to use it for a convention.

The prop tip!! I never realised how important props can be until my current cosplay... cosplaying a character who's a hologram and can't touch physical objects. I'm still trying to think whether I could take some creative license with him and give him a prop anyway - but since he never holds anything in canon it's super hard to think of ideas!

Another easy way to steam. Put it on a hook in your bathroom and take an extremely long. Hot. Bath/shower. Followed by a cold blast while the water is still hot. It may take some trial and error finding the steamiest spot in your bathroom but if its a contained and small enough bathroom it should work wonders. AND its relaxing.

Great video, thanks for the advice! I'm wearing my first "cosplay"(it's more like some make up, facepaint, and some fake ears but eh-) to my first con next week! I'm excited to keep working on it as you said, and upgrading the things I create is honestly one of my favourite things to do lol.. Sadly I didn't have time to sew anything etc, since we just decided to go a week ago, but I think it'll still be fun :D

Also! Here's some tips!
- If you dont have a steamer or iron, toss some water on it, and put it in the shower. It works exactly like a steamer does and it gets all the wrinkles out!
-PIN YOUR WIGS this seriously is a game changer. I didn't for a while and it was really annoying. This can also be an alternative for a wig grip.
- If you are using a prop at conventions, then get or make a holder for it. If it's something like a staff or a sword, you can strap it to your back or let it hang at your side. This gives you that extra hand back.
-LOOK UP MAKEUP TIPS. Makeup can be super hard, but it makes a huge difference. For some characters their makeup makes them that character. So look up tutorials and tips.
- Find staple pieces. For a lot of cosplays, you can use props, clothes, and accessories from other cosplays.
- If you want to make studs on armour, use googly eyes, you can take out the loose eye part and make them into armour studs. Its a cheap way to do it and it works. All you have to do is paint them.
- ITS OK TO USE CHEAP SUPPLIES. I can not express this enough. You can use dollar store supplies to make your cosplays. If you put in the effort, you can take a cheap thing from the dollar store and turn it into something that looks like it cost a lot. All you have to do is go to the dollar store and think outside the box, then put in a lot of effort. But it is worth it in the end.

I really hoped this helped. Have a great day!!
