another thing I would add is to remember that just because you’re in cosplay doesn’t mean you deserve any less respect! if you don’t want photos taken of you, weird interactions etc that is totally fine and you should never force yourself into a situation you’re not comfortable in! unfortunately there might be people talking photos without consent, especially if you’re cosplaying in public outside a convention setting, but you should always be able to enforce your boundaries! and likewise, your fellow cosplayers deserve respect so make sure to treat them with it
