Football and track are different sports. Mbappe is still very fast for football.

the problem is Bolt is trained just to run as fast as he can which means longer strides and more length in between each step. Mbappe is trained to run fast with a ball at his feet, so he has shorter strides and less length in between each step. Mbappe needs the shorter strides even if he sacrifices speed. not that he could become anywhere near as fast as bolt.

Still can't believe I had a cousin running 10's in HS in sneakers on a concrete track. He ran right up to me and told me, and I had no idea how fast that really was at the time. He never pursued it professionally. Definitely one of the biggest what-if reflections I've had in my life.
