When scientists used software to record Mbappe running 40 meters down the pitch to score a goal, the findings were crazy. Mbappe was recorded running to goal at an average pace of 37.6 kilometers per hour. His peak speed was 38 kilometers per hour which easily beat all of his defenders. Mbappe’s average speed translates to 23.36 miles an hour and when comparing the results to Bolt’s statistics, the findings were even more insane. Bolt ran at an average pace of 37.57 kilometers or 23.35 miles per hour. This means Mbappe is faster than Bolt and could beat him if his sprint was lengthened from 40 meters to 100 meters.

Even if this was true, they're completely neglecting the fact that in a 100 meter race, or any race for that matter, you don't start at top speed, if Usain could start his races by running across the start line he would be that much faster.
