Whoever recorded this in that seemingly vulnerable position understood that the cameraman always survives these events

Reporting from Osaka. This hit here pretty bad too. It felt like it went on forever. I was like on a boat in my living room. It was very big lateral movements. Never experienced it this bad. I was petrified in shock and never thought to evacuate although I thought we were in danger. My condolences to the families of the deceased and swift recovery to those who were injured.

Just left Osaka on 1/1. Sorry for the people experiencing this. Hope no more damages or life losses. Japan is a beautiful country with nice people may God bless them!

This quake just goes on and on! In LA, they last a few seconds and we all freak out! This is insane!

For me it's mind blowing the way the buildings are usually built to withstand this 😭

Impressive how the power stays on through that.

It's mind blowing to think these happen on a pretty regular basis there. Apparently on average there are 6-7 discernable earthquakes every day somewhere in Japan. I've only felt one earthquake in my life and it basically was akin to somebody slamming a heavy door shut nearby.

May Gid have mercy on them.
Despite the ongoing earthquake, they still got electricity.

In my country in west Africa, there aint no earthquakes, no volcanoes, no huricanes, no tsunamis and no electricity.

I would not want to be standing on that floor as a earthquake is happening. It definitely looks like the person is up more then 5 floors that must have been scary
