Videos capture violent shaking during huge earthquake in Japan

Civilians screamed in videos posted to social media after entire homes were flattened during a 7.5 magnitude earthquake in Japan. In one video, people crouched under tables at a local bowling alley, where tremors shook the infrastructure and TV screens could be seen shaking from the ceiling. #CNN #News

I've been in dozens of earthquakes having lived in SF Bay area for 40+years, that was a long and violent earthquake with many sharp ups & downs. Looked like a real rock and roller. Scary, Goodluck to all those in Japan!

Frequent thieves have been seen stealing vans carrying foreigners.
Electric wires and metal items are also being stolen.
Can't you do something about it?

It's crazy because unlike other natural disasters, during an earth quake, there's no where to run for safety. During a hurricane, or tornado, etc you usually have a warning so you can evacuate the area. But also you can at least find somewhere to seek shelter. An earthquake, however, you're screwed. Just a wait and see game. That's terrifying. 😢

I’m living in Wajima, the epicenter of this earthquake.

Currently, I’m hearing a lot of sirens and do see a lot of helicopter over us. The airport near us RJNW/NTQ is INOP due to damaged runway.
The highway to this part of peninsula is unusable, streets are unusable.
During midnight, the tempeture went below freezing, people trapped under houses may only have hours to live.
Shelter wise, We need a lot of water, blankets, medical attention and food.
