ABOUT VIDEO:
One thing you might want to do inside After Effects is resize your compositions. And if you try to just go into composition settings and resize it maybe from 1920 by 1080 to 4K, you'll have to update the layer sizes as well. And this can be a pain. So in this video, I'm going to go over a script that you can use inside After Effects, where you can automatically scale up those layers when you resize the composition.

Works great for normal layers and compositions. However you need to bear in mind that you'll have to adjust certain settings in plugins like Trapcode for example to upscale the quality of the simulations.

I need this, but I don't want to scale my layers. I want to increase the size of them without adjusting the effects applied to them. How can I do this?

Also note that this script won't scale nested Comps it only does layers.

ScaleUp is a powerful plug in that is franking cool I up scale 1080p anime episodes to 4K. It will require a powerful GPU tho like my 3090 or a 40 series Nvidia GPU to get it to really work great tho but I would suggest you use that. It will cost you about 50 bucks but the results to me are great. Good luck 👍.
