when Denny died i was heart broken i knew him well he lived in Halifax Nova Scotia he was a train conductor in a kids program he will be missed he had shared with me a lot about the Mamas and the papas he got me hooked on there music i am and will remember him with a warm heart and ear to ear smile

Denny Doherty was a class act. Natural entertainer. He had one of the best singing voices of all time. Even up to his unfortunate passing he still had a great voice.

Loved how Denny thanked both his family and Cass first and acknowledged Cass' daughter Owen for accepting her mother's award

You can see the emotion in Michelle’s eyes when she made the special tribute at the end recognizing Cass. You can tell that she had a deep love for her, and losing her was a deep loss in her life.

I remember this night! Watching this on tv with two of my all time favorite artists being awarded, The Mama’s and the Mac! I was sick with bronchitis and in my room at home in the mountains, , , with snow ❄️ all around my window, , , and fresh powdered snow with my two beautiful kitties taking care of me!! And watching this, and reruns of a brand new HILARIOUS tv show called South Park, , , although I was feeling bad, I was having a great time doing it!! ❤❤❤

Denny is so amazing, I love how he mentioned Cass first and acknowledged Owen. Cass and Denny are the reason for the groups fame and success, yes John wrote a lot and Michelle was there but Cass and Denny didn't need them. RIP both Denny and Cass, you will forever be remembered as musical legends, you are loved by so many x
