Hole in siding should be lower than hole in house skin to stop water tracking back in!

Vinyl siding is a great solution for exterior cladding....can make look great or shiite...all about installer...been in construction 40 yrs

As a siding installer do you ever use 1 inch crown staples or do you use nails only to fasten the top of the siding plank?

1. First off, thank you for treating that wire with respect.
2. The amount of effort you put in for that wire is sadly worth more than that vinyl siding is. Cannot stand the stuff and it barely lasts 5-10 years out where i am.

As a carpenter, what was that wire for? It didn't look like it was for a camera, or cable/internet. Maybe a home weather station? Whats your thoughts?
