This bugs me. The man loved Freddie and was devastated by his death. Brian and John's close friends said that he went into a deep depression after Freddie died. Brian said it was worse for John when he played with them. Thats the reason why the concert for life/Freddie tribute concert was John's last performance. He deserves to be left alone.

It's so hard to see John wanting to be so detached from the rest of the members even if he still chose not to play music again. One can only imagine the actual magnitude of the impact Freddie's death had on him. If his wish to be left alone is what truly makes him happy then it should be respected, as no one deserves it more than he. But it cannot go without saying that John, Freddie, Brian and Roger are sorely missed.
