IT’S FINAL HERE. It is taken 26 years to get to this glorious moment. I’m sure for fans new and hold that it is totally worth it. This set looks like it’s going to be absolutely brilliant. I am so relieved that it will indeed include both the original dub and the official one from the early 00s. Was thinking they might have gone for the Japanese version of the Blu-ray and DVD release with a more simplified physical blue or red monolith of a case, but I guess they decided to release more of a bundle sat here which is still absolutely awesome with all this new/old material in the west being officially released released.
I’ve heard some people just say now though that apparently the song ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ will not be featured in the end credits?
Is this true? If so then this would be an absolute catastrophe for the ultimate release, as without that it’s basically missing a huge part of what makes it so iconic. I can understand the Netflix release being a problem, but a physical release like this!? No way. Would definitely reconsider buying it if this was indeed the case.
Edit: okay just checked out the AllTheAnime shop. It’s confirmed. ‘ The international re-release of the series does NOT have ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ in any of its home video editions. I think this means that any future additions might not have it either. Not unless we are talking many months or years into the future again with a new licensed release. I have no idea how they expected to get away with this short term. I might have considered paying the money originally when I signed up to be notified when the preorders started, but now I’m not at all sure. Not for what is still basically an incomplete release.😭 I appreciate the effort they’ve tried to put into this physical release, but still.😞
Big question though! Does that mean this release has or hasn’t got the ‘Directors Cut’ final episodes? Are they automatically a part of it or are they extras? THIS’S A BIG THING HERE.

This set looks fantastic, and I love the fact that it contents the classic dub and sub, but why no fly me to the moon? It’s such an iconic part of the series and it’s wild that an ultimate edition doesn’t have it

So... Is the Fly Me To The Moon endings in there or is it the somber piano endings that was in the international Netflix release?

I mean... £200 is pricey. But considering the only HD home video alternative have been an out of print japanese Bluray without any subs, no listed extras and regionblocked to region 1 and it was roughly $300...

Having the original ending song might just be the final thing I need to firk over the money.

this price is exploitative this provides nothing extra that your other "ultimate editions" provides but you are charging a Ludacris amount just because of the name honestly this should be £100 for early bird and £150 for late buyers you cant justify the price of £200 to £300 its taking advantage of your customers.

As a man who spent £1000's on the Gundam collectors editions, even I must say this is far too over priced! I thought the Gundam Seed ultimate edition was pricey, but this is more so!
