My NEW FAVORITE Action Camera! | Insta360 One X2 - First Impressions

When Insta360 came out with their One X camera I was pretty much in love with it and the form factor but there were some serious upgrades that it needed. Now we have theInsta360 OneX2 ( the names pretty confusing) and they have solved all those problems PLUS some!

It was fun filming this little first impressions video but I can think of TONS of videos that were gonna be using this in the future!

I've got one, its amazing. The stability is stunning, horizon levelling, waterproof, decent battery, invisible selfie stick and the free Insta software to edit the footage on a PC is easy to use.

I like using the 360 cameras occasionally but still hard to beat the audio/image quality and ease of editing workfkows that the gopros provide. I think Lambchops does a nice job of mixing the footage in for variety.

I really love the Insta360 cameras, I got the One X, the One R and the One X2, I think the One X2 is the best of them all. it being waterproof and in the better form factor (the One R is not a great shape for a 360 camera). The transitions to tiny planet etc really don't interest me, but the ability to get some fantastic perspectives with these cameras is incredible. I imagine once memory card technology improves the cameras will be as good as a regular actioncamera. The screen was really the least needed thing as once it is on the stick, you can't see the screen... but it is great to sort the settings out and navigate the options. The PC editor is really good now too, and works really fast, I believe there is a PP plug-in for those that can afford PP.
Even without the selfie-stick, the camera is so versatile too just mounted on a wing mirror.

OC - Seems like one of these could replace multiple cameras for different angles. I might have to get one.

OC: the ability to move and choose the angle you want after you record is pretty dang dope! I really wanna get one of these! You should look into getting those special mounts for it that run the pole from your back so you can get 3rd person view!

Love it. Best update is the screen. I don’t have the the old or for that matter a GoPro but I could see how the screen would be a big help. I love how you can just use the app to edit it. That’s one of the biggest reasons I never got an action camera is because I was never good at editing or never had the time. I think this a solid piece of gear. How does it compare to the the other Insta 360 (GoPro style) that they offer?

Got any recommendations for lens protection while in use? I feel like one small spill would ruin at least one of the lenses.

Ace! I have been interested in the x2 360 camera. Seen people using it on their bars which provides a good view! Gotta find a good mounting point.

Edit: on their website they say they do have a plug-in for Premiere Pro, but not Final Cut - does it not work with your workflow?

Pretty good camera and cool shots, imagine you can view a motovlog in 360 that would be very good!
