YNW Melly’s Defense Shifting Focus of Deadly Shooting to YNW Bortlen

Attorneys representing YNW Melly, born Jamell Demons, have used every opportunity they can to shift the focus of the deadly shooting to Cortlen Henry, aka YNW Bortlen. During opening statements, Melly’s lawyer concentrated on Bortlen’s involvement in driving the bodies of Christopher Thomas Jr., aka YNW Juvy, and Anthony Williams, aka YNW Sakchaser, to the hospital. On Thursday, Melly’s lawyer probed a forensic scientist on the investigation into gunshot residue on Bortlen, which was never found. The Law&Crime Daily team breaks it down.

I think melly did it in 2015 he shot at 3 kids at a school randomly and hid the gun and told the police he knew where the gun was hidden, now in 2018 he randomly shot his friends in that car and killed them and the murder weapon has not been found because melly hid it or threw it some where where no one will find it. He knows where he hid that's gun cuz he did it. And mellys favorite gun to use it a 40 caliber hand gun.

They can’t put the gun in Melly’s hand because they never retrieved the murder weapon. He’s locked up for no reason, because they don’t have any proof that he committed this crime. If they can’t prove that he did it, then they have to free him.
