Corruption in government needs to be publicized and called out. I don't like YMW Melly but everyone deserves a fair and untainted trial. My brother was railroaded by law enforcement and he is still working on getting a governors pardon years later even after they acknowledged the wrong doing.

If this case shows us anything—it’s cameras should be allowed in court Rooms. Those court rooms & jobs exist because of our taxes! And all the dirt should surface for the world to see! *Especially when this is going on.*

I find it telling that Bradley was dodging the hearing. I know if it were me and I was being accused of misconduct/crimes that put my integrity and livelihood at stake, I’d be there early and anything else on my schedule would be pushed back. It’s crazy that she basically had to be dragged there. If she did nothing wrong, you’d think she’d want to be there.

With every case, I keep thinking, well that's got to be the craziest thing in a trial, then this case takes wild to the next level!

One of the most corrupt and unethical people I’ve ever encountered was the local Chief Deputy Sheriff in my area. Most of the time these horrible people in power get away with absolutely horrific crimes and their counterparts cover for them. Corrupt politicians and police officers are far more common than people realize.

That’s the sad part. People who can’t afford these type of defense get rail roaded. I have never paid attention to
Any of this until watching this Lawyer you know! Thanks Peter. I’m learning all kinds of new things.

For anyone saying that this still doesn’t change the evidence…regardless, it makes me question it and makes me not trust it. This is scary and not to mention that this is a death penalty case! I’m glad that this corruption is being exposed. It’s entirely possible that this man is innocent and the fact that the state has no issues doing whatever it takes to get their conviction is disturbing.

Hot Damn!! Loving this defense team! If I’m ever in Florida and accused of wrong doing I’m selling everything I own ( except my house) and hiring this 10 man defense team 😅 It’s amazing what money can buy. It’s sad it takes money to protect our constitutional rights 😢

I want to say this is surprising, but after seeing the prosecution's behavior during the trial and the overzealous badgering of witnesses; it felt like they wanted a conviction at all costs.

I was so put off by the prosecutor (she reminded me of a snotty teenager who needed to get the last word in) that it would have been a struggle for me to take her for her word on anything.

Especially after watching her say one thing 5 mins earlier and then boldface lie about it on national television. In my opinion that should have been worthy of a mistrial.

This is why defence attorneys need to be appreciated. And we need to start appreciating those with the money to do this kind of work. They are fighting for ALL of us and our rights. If Melly was like most, and using a public defender, do you think we'd be here - challenging the State and all its power? Rich defendants, thank God, make life a little bit better for all of us. My favourite was when the defense said, simply, "the elected official here is the same as everybody else. They are nothing special." LOVE IT! Bring it on! Sunlight is the best disinfectant - let's put 'em on the stand, and let the chips fall where they may.

He only said “it was a joke” because the deputy didn’t agree to go along with it but had he did he would have definitely been serious

I respect this woman so much for her tenacity. I can just imagine the gaslighting. Being dramatic, making too much of a small thing, overstepping, let the bosses handle it, yaddah, yaddah. I've heard it when I've brought something to the forefront that superiors want to ignore. I'm disappointed to admit that I did not have her same tenacity. Admittedly, the circumstances were not that it was part of my job or was anything criminal.

To me, it looks like a state cover up. It is highly concerning that internal affairs closed the case. Furthermore, the judge is protecting the state by sustaining certain objection. I imagine the judge is in between a rock and a hard place.

Thank you, ma’am AND THANK YOU PETER! We must shine a light on this behavior! Imagine how many people don’t have the money or ability to fight and uncover this type of corruption. Say what you want about Melly but his defense team was at least able to bring awareness to this horrible LE conduct!
