Replacing a 3” PVC cleanout. Client had a 3 inch PVC test tee leaking in the wall. It looked like someone overtightened the plug. I was able to cut out the old fitting and replaced it with a sanitary tee and fitting cleanout adapter for more accessibility for drain cleaning later down the road #plumbing #plumber #shortscreator #diy

When I was an apprentice I worked with this old plumber who once told me to bring him mother-in-law’s necklace from his tool bag. He was referring to the tool you were using to cut that PVC pipe.

just glad to see there is 1 plumber on the planet that can cut a clean square hole in drywall

Quick tip: slide the metal part of the band on before you fit the new piece in. That way you don't have to fiddle with trying to screw the band together. Just slide it over the rubber and tighten it

You know you can't argue with results from that wire saw.

I've been plastering for over 20 years and have never seen a plumber square up a hole like that. Well done.

I like a video that shows the use of affordable tools where technique is what really matters

God bless you for squaring the drywall. Other plumbers just smash a hole large enough for the repair with a hammer.

Curious why you didn't use glue in slip couplers instead of rubber clamps

Why not replace with a cleanout Tee ? Now it's sticking out of the wall. Good job bro !

New plumber here…..

Why did you choose to use no hubs?

Great job cutting with the cable saw. You made it look easy but it takes experience to cut it that straight.

So initially cut the drywall, imo, right. Had room for drywall repair guy or even gave a bottom anchor for an access panel. BUT THEN YOU UNNECESSARILY CUT THE THE DRYWALL DOWN TO THE BASE BOARD!! Next time, leave a little wall above the base trim if possible

I'm AMAZED!!! This guy actually used the correct torque wrench to tighten those no-hubs

Question. How come you didn’t use a traditional cleanout tee, and install a flush plug so that it’s in the wall, with a nice cleanout cover.
