It’s really helpful to hear this stuff spelled out for dummies. I have made every mistake in the book (and I feel like it’s because I’m just really naive and good-natured). It helps to have someone say don’t be eager and protect yourself. I’d love to know more ways that I can realistically “protect myself.” I feel like it’s just natural for me to be generous and open and loving and feel confused when other people take advantage.

She reached out and when I offered to catchup in person she said no. I told her that I’m not ok with occasional texting to see how life is going without any follow up because it confuses me and isn’t healthy for me. I don’t need that shit and it was too exhausting to figure her intentions out already. Needless to say she asked me no questions and offered no alternatives so she’s clearly not interested
