I was always taught to first apply a little liquid bonding agent to troubled surfaces before adding new texture materials but in fairness, these materials have come so far over the years that may not be necessary anymore. Always enjoy the vids ! Keep em' coming.

Spray on water at beginning to keep the patch from drying. Also spreads easier

Hard to patch situations like this perfectly cause your trowel always skips on older stucco texture. Only thing I’d recommend is using a wire brush to help clean and make sure you get good adhesion. I would also fix the flashing and add a kick out, otherwise you’ll be back fixing it again. cheers.

funny how a lot of people on this thread crying "hire a real contractor". yeah, i had a licensed contractor do garbage work on my house. id rather give my best effort trying this method. thank you for this video. i have small patches of stucco peeling that need repairing.

Wet surface first and add bonding agent. Also has to dry a number of days before painting.
