Okay okay, steampunk ‘era’ (ish) mod..
Justification: Plenty of guns were water cooled (ie produced steam in the process) in WW1 💁🏻‍♂️

My uncle had that rifle when I was a kid. He bought it from the Shotgun News paper.

These are the kind of firearm innovations I love.

Yeah, the Mauser G98 Trench Magazine...

Can hold at least 25 rounds, but those mags are not easily detachable (Just like SMLE MKIII and M1903 "Aireal" Rifle, they're only detached when maintaining or cleaning)...

AKA known in Spain as "Cetmetón"... mixed word from Cetme (centro de estudios técnicos mecánicos) and "mosquetón" (big musket)

When I was a kid I had something similar for my 1903A3 Springfield. I had a damaged stamped trigger guard part that I cut the 'magazine portion' out of. I took a BAR magazine and cut about a fourth of an inch off (the feedlips). The magazine was installed in the rifle and the trigger guard pieces kinda wedge held the magazine body in the rifle. It was my version of a Trench mag. The rifle held 20 rounds and fed and fired great. The 'wedge' style of mag retention worked well and the mag never worked loose or anything. I had a great uncle who had told me about this being done and had to try it. Nice video, Ya'll Take Care, John

I love that idea, there's no damage or much modification done to the rifle and you can still load it with clips. Seemed pretty useful to me. Haven't heard of those trench magazines being used in ww1, I kinda want to look into them more now, to see why they haven't been issued and used much more.

Bolt actions with detachable box magazines is dope AF, yo! Yeah, this one is not detachable, but it SHOULD be!

That reminds me of the Imbel M968, a Mauser based bolt action rifle used for basic infantry training here in Brazil, it's just beautiful and fires the NATO 7.62, accurate as hell.

The fr-8 is built in a Spanish m43 action, a Spanish copy of the k98 menaing it is a mauser action that was converted to .762 nato when Spain joined nato

I would like to see this man fire a 950jdj (anti tank round) with its signature weapon, the Fat Mac.
