But how effective will these sanctions be especially as several have already been imposed on Russia after its annexation of Crimea back in 2014? I hope I was wrong, but sadly I am not. People are suffering now. And NATO and US are not there to save them. They were quick to take nukes from them, however.
There is still time for Ukrainians to surrender, they are not from a warrior race like Afghans, who can fight for 20-40 years non-stop. In this case its the same culture and religion too, so even less incentive and motivation to resist. The sooner they surrender, the better is the chance to strike a deal with Moscow which will give them some level of

Sanctions don't work on Russia because strong nations don't effect Sanctions. Example couple of years ago USA, Canada and EU countries but some Sanctions on Turkiye it didn't work because Turkiye doing business many countries in Asia, Africa and Middle. Turkiye started developing own indigenous weapon systems.
