How to connect multiple monitors with daisy chain (MST) - BenQ

You are AWESOME!!! Looked twice on YouTube for an easy way to connect 2 monitors to a laptop and both times were unsuccessful. Third time is a charm! I put "daisy chain in the search, and found your video, and in less than 2 minutes, I had both my monitors connected to my laptop without needing an to buy docking station or adapters. I have a doubt.
When I make this type of connection, does the information arrive at the PC that there are 2 monitors connected? Or because the signal goes directly from the first monitor to the second, the computer doesn't even know about it?

hello there my friend, my external monitors do not have USB-C in, just displayport in and out, i do not have displayport out on my laptop, just thunderbolt 4, i have a thunderbolt 3 to displayport in on the first monitor, the displayport out to displayport in on my second, but the monitors only duplicate rather than extend, the monitors are benQ PD2700u which i know are capable of extending to daisy chain, even with MST set to "on" on both monitors, the laptop still only recognises one external monitor.

my laptop is the latest ASUS pro art Studio.

any advice would be very much appreciated :)

if i want 2 monitor setup, then 1 of them shall use MST as this series BENQ and for the second monitor can use any monitor with display port input right ? doesnt need both support MST ?

Mine is not working perfectly... Both monitors are turning on, but they are not being differentiated by the system... they are just showing a copy of each other, good for presentations, but... not anything else... there are two reasons of this problem although I don't know which one is correct...
- my 2nd display is doesn't have MST
- laptop to first monitor connection is through HDMI not type-c
