Since we’re sharing: I took my child to this park once. As she was running around the playground in youthful splendor, I sat down to rest. A cute lil elementary aged girl came and sat next to me on a bench and said “you’re pretty. You look like this woman I saw on a billboard”

There also seems to be a societal taboo against acknowledging you're attractive. I know I'm beautiful, I don't think I'm a supermodel or anything, I don't think I'm perfect, I don't think I'm better than anyone else, but I do know I'm pretty. I hate how often people try to tear someone down who acknowledges they're attractive and only compliment you when you don't think you are.
