Great video, but there are two objections.
1. I wrote a bachelor's thesis a long time ago on the history of Southern Italy under Byzantine rule and discovered that there is not a single mention of Calabria and Apulia being separated from each other. In other words, that Lucania was captured by the Normans or the Prince of Salerno. As far as can be understood from the small amount of information, the Catepanate of Italy held the coastal part of Lucania at least until the Battle of Civitate in 1053, and at most until the onset of complete collapse in the 1050s - 1060.
2. It seems that Manuel also briefly established vassalage over several Italian cities, but I can’t say for sure.

Nice video. Thank you for showing Manuel vassaling Hungry and Galicia.
Overal nice video but I wish you show Sardinia. It's said to have been a nominal vassal till the late 11th cenutry. It was most likely fully lost during the crisis on the 11th century. So probably some time post maznikert, Theirs a good video about Byzantine Sardinia on eastern roman history channel.
Also you have heavily exaggerated the slavic penetration in Greece. Most fortified areas in Peloponnesus managed to hold out.
Also Epirus is debatable because towards the end it was a latin state.
Oh yeah you forgot to show Theodoric and Odeacer in Italy has vassals/ruling in the name of the emperor technically.
Also last thing you forgot to show the Toparchy of Maina which didnt get captured by the ottomans thx to Kladas.
These are all the things I can think on the top of my head now. If I remember any other missing details I will tell you.
Overall nice video.

For once I would love to see a video where the 927 peace treaty with Simeon of return to the previous borders in echange for him becoming recognized as an emperor is correctly depicted. Every single one has it wrong and has Bulgaria ocupying half of Greece for 50 years. You guys just keep copying one from the other and making the same mistakes. Same with Moesia not beign conquered by Tziimiskies and lost by Basil II in 986. It's so sad to see. At least you got the Komnenian period 10%% right, which is a first.

From Muslims point of view, the ottoman state was just a state of the Roman nation, not Turks ( may be the denasty descends from Turkic origin but the nation of the empire was Roman ) we called them Rum, their language was effected by Arabic but they still Romans ( the same thing happened to Persia and they still Persian )
Until the 20th century when the European made a Turkish state by Ataturk
