I've had V6 installed for about two months now. No serious issues at all. Chugging along just fine with a compiled 1.22 version of Unbound.

Be aware of the slider on the top right to extend the possible configurations in the web-UI (Basic <-> Expert).
My pihole is running on v6 without any noticed problems. And as always, very nice and structured video

Too many issues being reported. Best to let the devs work on all these launch bugs before replacing v5

Everything being in one config file is a nice change. I switched to AdGuard Home mostly because of this feature, it makes it trivial to manage and scale via Ansible. maybe I'll switch back to Pi-Hole with this feature now being added, I've found AdGuard Home to be a bit heavier than Pi-Hole.

Great video. An idea for a video....to go over your whole DNS/RP set up within your network...covering daily driver PCs and any privacy VPNs. Although, I guess if DNS Leaks are tinfoilhattery to you lol, you're not worried about privacy and fingerprinting so much.

Used pihole for years. And I loved it. Sadly when migrated to opnsense wanted to have it in the same box and it was not possible. Then decided to go with Adguard, which is fine, but I still miss this one.

The redesigned GUI looks great but for me it's a bummer that Pi-hole still does not support DoH/DoT. Well, then I'll have to keep using it in combination with Unbound.

The only problem I noticed is when I did an upgrade of one of my Pi-Holes from v5 to v6. The web interface was extremely slow. For anything else it seemed fine. No slowness in DNS lookups or any of that. So I did a complete new install into Proxmox and that worked just fine. Web interface is great. I do like the v6 better.

Doing some testing of rolling out a pair of these to do requests for the student WiFi vlans at a public school. This has come a long way over the years.

I automated PiHole updates using cron. A week or so ago, during regular maintenance of my RPi and proxmox VMs running pihole, I found them running V6. Ugh. Gravity-sync, which I was using, doesn't support V6 and was archived as a result. Crud. With 1.4M worth of blocked domains and 300-400 whitelisted domains, gravity-sync kept the multiple piholes in sync. The white list was too large to add by hand when building a new pihole. Fortunately, importing the non-config teleporter files from an existing pihole backup worked to sync the block, white, domain, and client lists to the new pihole.

So far, no issues running V6.

Nice! I wonder if there is a way to automatically add Traefik's local URLs to pihole local DNS? That would be very convenient.
