So when I first saw this I was thinking it was exactly what I’ve been dreaming of and wanting for years. Something kayak or microskiff sized that would allow me to occasionally run an outboard up or down the river and then tuck back in the backwaters and use a pedal drive to move around once there. To fish the same areas I do now in my yak… but get to certain areas faster, or get home quicker in a pop-up storm. I like the better control I have with the pedal drive over an electric for moving around covering water while fishing.
However, it looks like it’s an either/or proposition. Use with a transom mount motor or use with a pedal drive, but not both. Unless I’m missing something, if an outboard is mounted then you no longer have a hand-controlled rudder available…. Yeah, you could get where you going under outboard power and then drop the pedal drive, but would have no rudder or good steering option. Correct?

I like it. I'm curious to see how this paddles. I have a Malibu Stealth 14 and it paddles straight as an arrow and would assume the Guru would as well. Also curious about those two pods, I most likely would not motorize this and are they going to be screwed shut and not have a latch opening like the pod in the middle? Kinda wish that seat was adjustable, that would have made this crazy dynamic. Either way, I like what I'm seeing and that you're based in FL!

Weight? Looks way too heavy….how about a lightweight inflatable in your lineup! ..with a Hobie drive insert too.
