Thanks a lot! My FPS dropped quite significantly after following this guide, but on the other hand it got so insanely smooth. I can finally enjoy the game. Also seems like my excuses of having low FPS aren't valid anymore, so I'm just bad.

@Wyld I must say that for the first time i see someone actually posting something that actually works, i am referring specifically to the changes to the CS video settings file, that is huge! i could not run Shadows on High in game as it would cause severe FPS drops when smokes were active, also i could not run Textures on High for the same reason, with this i could tweak the textures in order for my skins to look gorgeous whilst not losing performace, great job!

3:19 Also click Run As Administrator! I had an issue where my game kept minimizing and sending me back to my desktop at random. I had no idea how to fix it but after searching for hours and try a dozen different fixes I finally found a suggestion to try Running As Administrator and it fixed the issue! Also, did you know you can force the game to whatever resolution you want? I play in a perspective that isn't selectable in the in-game menu. I play in 1920x1080. To do this I type -w 1920 -h 1080 in Launch Options.

What exactly are you tweaking at 6:41 and how does it affect FPS? Shadow quality or cast range/size?
Also, I've seen multiple players with the same "show fps" interface as yours in the top right corner of the game. What command is that?

this is why im subbed to your channel brother, went from max 203 fps to FUCKING 300?!?!? had to test the new settings on ancient t spawn and im above 200 fps running through the water as before i was dropping to 97fps running through that fucking water. thank you so much for the video <3

why does Anistropic 16X have better FPS compared to Bilinear? I've tested it and noticed for me Anistropic does result in a higher and more stable FPS than Bilinear, does it have to do with CPU?
