A huge thank you goes to GameStop for allowing us the opportunity to film those few segments in their store and to our friends Nate, Zach, Jake, Jamie, Fallon and Evan for taking part in the madness with us!

the worst part about my backlog is that there’s a whole section of games that i just want to replay desperately and have a hard time juggling them with new games

My gut reaction to this was “we seriously need a video to tell us to manage our hobbies?” But I genuinely like the frame of “we need to make time for ourselves.” All of these come back to being intentional. Intentional timing for play, socialization, spending, and perspective. If I get anxious from a backlog of entertainment, I legitimately think it’s time for me to take a break to regain perspective. Great tips for life, not even just our hobbies. Well done!

It's even harder when you like to read/watch movies/etc. There just isn't enough time :(

easy way to tackle your backlog: never play any of them and then make fun of the game to cope with the fact that everyone has played and enjoyed witcher 3 except you

I really needed this😅
Another tip I can give is, don't be afraid to play on easier difficulties, it was the only way I could continue dragon age 2...

Drop everything and play Golden Sun obviously.

This is what I did until now to try to finish my backlog:
1)only play normal mode in every game
2)always look for guide on internet if you have a hard time solving certain puzzle
3)stop playing online multiplayer games
4) focus on the main story and try avoid side story

Been working on my backlog the past four years and am down to the last 14 out of my 980 games. Definitely agree with these tips! It's a long journey but it's been satisfying to look back at the hundreds of classics I finally got around to since I started.

“I still need to finish Persona 5 and Witcher 3.”

See you in 5 years, then.

Time vampire is a good way to put it. I stopped playing League of legends last year, been playing games with ending since

I like to do the three course approach. When I get home I am alone for about 1 hour before my wife gets back so I play Smash as an appetizer. Then I spend time with the wife until she gets tired around 9. Then I play Persona 5 for about 2 hours as a main course. Then at 11pm I play Megaman Zero series for about 15-30 minutes as a dessert.

Appetizer: Smash (30min-1 hour)
Main Course: Persona 5 (2 hours)
Dessert: Megaman Zero Collection (15-30 min)

When I was young I could play like 10 games at once. How I can only play one multiplayer and one single player game at a time. Otherwise it starts to become too much.

That backlog "monster" was actually really hilarious

Dude, guys, why stress yourself. Make peace with the fact that being a completionist is absolutely unnecessary. Just chill and play what comes up and enjoy the ride. The game has to EARN it's right to be played by us

As a 32yo with a full-time job, family and other time-consuming hobby it's really challenging to keep on with gaming. But I think I'm doing pretty well as I've been already using most of tips you mentioned.

I miss a bit old days when, as a kid, I'd keep playing same game at a time for long period as I couldn't afford/convince parents for more games. There was much different appreciation of the game, but might be I'm an ol'timer already :-)

I love seeing this video get so good reception by people. I thought some could think of this as too much of a "first world problem", but it actually is really important to allow us some quality time for our hobbies, and Games are something really important to a lot of us (they are made with a lot of love after all) and in the end, having better free time let's us rest better and be happier, which is a really healthy thing. So this is a really, really great video idea in my opinion. Thank you very much for this!
