1. Start the car.
2. Locate the i-stop deactivation button found on the switch panel, mounted on the dash to the right of the steering column.
3. Press the i-stop on/off switch once, and hold for 2 seconds.
4. This should make the i-stop dash indicator light illuminate a continual orange.
5. If the istop indicator light is orange, then istop is deactivated and your car’s engine will not turn off.
6. To reactivate the i-stop system, press the on/off switch again for 2 seconds.

But it has to be deactivated for each and every ride . But if you don't fasten your seatbelt, i-stop isn't activated at all.

It ruins so many parts on a car, by the engine turning on and off constantly!!!! Dumbest idea, the car industry has ever had! Plus, when u turn on a car it uses alot of gas, soooo if the car is turning Off at Every stop, you are NOT saving money, on gas!!!

Keep front windscreen air flow on and the iStop will not operate.

The New 2021 Mazda CX-5 has no way to deactivate! They removed the I-stop off button !
