Are you ready for World War 3, Civil War in America, hurricanes, earthquakes or general old-fashioned civil unrest? You should be! In this video I share with you the Baofeng AR-152 Tactical Emergency SHTF ham radio. I share some of the top features of this radio, I do a power output test, I compare the AR-152 to the Baofeng UV-5R radio, and I explain why the AR152 Baofeng HT is a great radio to use for SHTF, tactical communications or emergency radio communications use.

Of course you don't have a ham license.

I love that you troll the sad hams relentlessly. Please don't change a thing! And thanks for going on Radio Contra with NC Scout, loved it!

Best Ham/GMRS radio channel on the tube. 💯

This is the first AR152 review in which someone ACTUALLY TURNED IT ON. All the Ham ones were just them making fun of it and explaining why it "must be junk" without ever turning it on. NS Scout and I use these teaching classes and they get wet, muddy, left out in the rain, and still work. Never had to change a battery during a weeklong class. (It was me that left one out in the rain - whiskey was involved)

I love how you are advertising BB's store. Tells me we have much more in common than your sarcasm. I actually just ordered one.

As a ham, I love these affordable Chinese radios. They are the gateway drugs to getting people involved in the hobby. Not being able to participate in local repeater nets on my UV-5R was the motivation I needed to get my Technician license.

The AR-152 passing in front of the camera is like seeing space ball 1 passing by.

Discovered your channel when I got UV-5R for my work. Some other guys bought their own. One guy programmed the wrong frequency and was able to listen to another store.... 10 miles away.... with the rubber ducky antenna. Needless to say, I looked into the radio on YouTube, found your content, and I am now getting edumacated through you and another channel. That said, wanted to say thank you for getting me into the crazy world of radio operation.

I actually have this exact unit en route from that exact seller in the very same color. Your timing couldn’t be more perfect for me to congratulate myself on my amazing foresight. (ha)

Thanks for giving Brushbeater a shoutout!!! The guerrilla radio book is a must have for every patriot out there. Veteran owned business > Amazon.

Just so we're clear, I'm a ham radio guy, and I'm totally cool with the fact that you're not. It isn't my place to cast judgment, and I'm kinda sad to hear that you get so much hate from hams. I AM, however, happy to learn from your experience and to thank you for the work you do to teach people about the hobby.

I have a General License and find your videos to be entertaining and informative. It is up to the individual to discern good info from bad info. Please dont allow the actions of a few Bad Hams reflect on the rest of us who dont take radios and accessories personally.

Went through 3 highly technical reviews before this one telling me that I had nothing but trash in my sweaty hand. I'm glad I heard this fresh perspective. More gooder.

Another excellent review of another very acceptable and affordable radio. Thanks. Many moons ago, I was an infantryman, radio-telephone intercept operator, and electronic warfare technician in the military by job classification. So I rarely TX, mostly RX, & never met a HAM I could tolerate for very long or take very seriously. So I enjoy your dry wit and constant trolling of the licensed AMATEUR radio operators. Keep up the good work!

Been watching your videos for a while as I work into this fascinating world of ham radios. Always wanted to as a kid (in the 80's), but never had the chance. I listen a lot before talking, and I'm glad for that. There were many times watching where I was confused on what you were saying, until I learned enough basic knowledge of the craft to get all your humor. Once I did learn, I rewatched a few vids, and wound up laughing until I cried. Still all the great info, but now I can enjoy the humor (and the digs at the system) to a much better extent.

I just wanted to say Thank You. Both for the information, and for the enjoyment while learning it.

These are great for SHTF and regardless of regulations during normal times, in a SHTF situation you really don’t need to worry about about a license

Ham guys are what turned me off to getting into radios. Now I'm getting back into it all, if i get far enough that i want to get a license then cool. If not cool
