High Power SHTF Walkie-Talkie - HYS 25 Watt UHF Radio - The Ultimate Survival Radio - UHF, GMRS, HAM

Показать описание
This HYS 25 watt high-powered UHF (GMRS / ham) walkie-talkie is the highest power two-way radio I have found yet. This is a UHF "LMR" / commercial hand-held radio that can transmit on UHF, GMRS and (some) ham frequencies - IMHO, the ability to transmit on ham (70cm) and GMRS makes this HT the ultimate high-power survival and SHTF communications radio perfect for preppers or anyone that wants to be ready for an emergency. I show you the issues this radio has, I test the power output, and I test the transmitting range to see how far it can transmit.

No one told me how addictive this hobby is. I started in radio 6 months ago, licensed for 2 months now, and I started with a lowly UV-5R and Randy informing me about GMRS. Flash forward to today and I have 27 different handhelds, a 25w mobile in my girls car, a 50v2 in my car, a 50v2 as a base station, a spectrum analyzer, swr meter, a ton of antennas I don’t need, and all the accessories. I’ve been ordering a radio every week, Sunday my retevis RB-17P arrives. I’m so bad that I spend my time at night studying RF, Cold War numbers stations, GMRS, and even ham. I joined my local amateur radio club after getting ahold of them on their repeater (wouldn’t recommend just got lucky). I think my girlfriend is right and I may need therapy. Thanks Randy!

Thanks! The price for fcc license for gmrs has gone down already. I just got mine for $35.00 just to let you know. And let others know. I'm waiting to receive my HYS 25 WATT RADIOS IN 4 DAYS. THANK YOU FROM APACHE

The self brick feature is pretty useful. If you're using them on building sites etc and don't want workmen wondering off with your radios.

These radios are beasts. I programmed the first 9 channels for gmrs 15-22 and one repeater channel. Mine transmits full 25 watts at the pre programmed channels 10-12 on high and approximately 23 watts on the remaining 4 channels on high. On gmrs channels mine transmit at approximately 20 watts on high, 10 watts on medium and 5 watts on low. Very heavy duty, and work well with a cheap baofeng external mics.

"Getting it in" and "Getting it off" Very satisfying description!

This radio reminds me of the old Motorola Police radios. 25 watts is awesome, gotta get me a set. And as always, well done Randy. You are the "Man" when it comes to GMRS.

Well, when your camp is overrun by the enemy camp, you don't want them to get a radio and listen in on your private transmissions! So setting the self destruct is a must! Love the condescending tone! New subscriber, and that's a great shirt too! I find that my cup is empty all the time these days! :)

Radio looks interesting. As usual, you present yourself well and get your point across. The information and opinions you give out is valuable. The production, editing and sound are good. Lastly....you crack me up and I enjoy every video. Thanks so much.

I’m brand new - I know Jack about radios. I came across your channel and BOY, do you make this stuff fun (and funny)! I think I might take the time to learn more about this stuff! Thanks!

The self destruct, when I was in the Army their was a feature like that on our handhelds, in case a genius lost it or forgot to turn it in. Extra layer of security. 12 hour security shift, that radio was only good for 12.5 or 13 hours.

I listen/watch your channels with a sense of humour and tongue in cheek because a lot of what you say about hams is true. Now I'm a G7 UK ham licenced now for 50yrs and the old boy network was and is still prevalent in the world of ham radio. You hit the nail on the head and with what you are saying - remember not all hams are like this - there are some of us that just want to explore the hobby and have fun - and having fun is what we're doing watching you on YouTube - keep it up. 73's and farewell

That radio looks great! Better than most business band radios. Reminds me of the legendary Motorola P200.
