Kilt - Are You Brave Enough?

Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall. Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. I'm sure it'll be a great movie though. Also the 21st century generation need their own Mulan. There are very few children who would prefer to see a 2D rather than a 3D movie. This is just a way to reinforce the same message to this generation.

The majority of Americans who laugh at people in kilt's are those either are unaware of their heritage or whose families are a non-Celtic descent. I am born American and proud of it. However, I also descend from Clan Fraser of Scotland and proudly wear my Clan's sett upon my kilt. I know you said not all and I'm glad you recognize this. Just wanted to point out who it is primarily that mock's the kilt.

When his sister got married my bro-in-law and his brother wore kilts.. why is it so weird? We are Italians!!! He's BRAVE, for sure.

The only picture I actually have of people wearing kilts in real life is from a trip to Scotland where three young, fit men came wandering by me, two redheads and one with black hair. The redheads were in plaited kilts, the black haired fellow was wearing a black kilt and no shirt. O_o Quite enough to convince me the second selling point presented is quite earnest.

Real men wear kilts, guys, remember that.

That is very very sad. I read an article recently about a boy who wished to wear his clan's kilt with formal Highland Dress to his prom and was disallowed by the school board. Such things make me ashamed to be American.
