As an Englishman I must say that it is heartwarming to see that some parts of this once proud Island are proud to keep their traditions alive. In England, it seems, we have either forgotten how to or are just not allowed to do this anymore. To any Scottish and Welsh folk who may come across this comment.... "Please do not ever lose your National identity, keep up your traditions, protect them well and pass them on with pride to your children". England has lost its own identity, please don't let the same thing happen to you good Folk.

I imagine more than a few people think this is how Scots normally travel between pubs.

This makes me proud to be Scottish.

Which is weird because I’m Mexican

I'm Mexican born, American raised but want to be buried with the bagpipes playing. My whole family think it's weird but I just love them

There's something very soul-stirring about the bagpipes.

I'm not even Scottish, but I'm feeling this. Probably everyone who has a soul out there is feeling it. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

When you heard the bagpipes back in the day it's was either help was coming or hell was coming.👍

I used to live in that very town, in Young street and while I was there had the very good fortune see this every year. I now live in North Wales, but this reminds me of my many great times living in Scotland. I miss Dufftown very much, but i do get to visit Scotland still as my beautiful wife to be, comes from the stunning Isle of Skye. My son also plays the drum for the Elgin & District Mass Pipes & Drums. I am so proud of him.

Imagine patrolling through a Scottish bog on dawns light and hearing this played this loudly a 100ft through the fog. Goes from patriotic and cheerful to terrifying.

My paternal grandmother was Scot, and if I could have had my way, Scotland The Brave would have been played at her funeral. Blessed be Ye, Grandma.

The only musical instruments that make me tear up. I don't know why either. Just love the bagpipes.

Imagine your in a battle with smoke everywhere, you're getting low on ammo and the enemy has you surrounded, all seems lost when all of a sudden you hear the faint sound of bagpipes in the distance and hope sneaks back into your soul...

Somewhere deep in this English heart there is a strain of Scotland because all my life I have been stirred by the pipes and drums. God Bless Scotland ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
