Fun fact: The Shinano despite having a destroyer escort was destroyed by a lone US sub called the USS Archerfish

Most people don't know what shinano was supposed to be a battleship because she is part of the Yamato class battleship just like the musashi but it was converted to a aircraft carrier for some reason

The Enterprise was by far the best, and I can’t believe it’s not here. I already know people are gonna comment “but Yorktown” he mentioned the Essex class Yorktown, not the original CV-5. Also, don’t lump all ships of a class together when he literally mentioned Lexington and Saratoga which are by the way the same class of ship. The Enterprise has one of the highest kill counts for ships sunk in history with 71 ships sunk and 192 damaged.
Just a few of the notable kills are as follows:
Kaga
Akagi
Hiyru
Riujo
Hiei
Mikuma
Aided in the sinking of one of the Yamato class and Zuikaku
First Night time fighter interception
First Night battle capable carrier
Sank the first full sized Japanese ship in the war (I-16)

I am sad to see that this list lacks USS Enterprise CV(N)-6 the most decorated warship in the USN's history, by earning 20 Battlestars, the Presidential Unit Citation, and even the British Admiralty Pennant (The *N* is a thing that Big E's crews added to her by 1944 which denotes the *N* as Night, since at this time around only her and USS Saratoga CV-3 were starting to pioneer the idea of Carrier Operations at night!) Along with any of the Essex class Fleet Carriers.

Side fact: USS Enterprise CV-6, USS Saratoga CV-3, and USS Ranger CV-4 are the only Pre-WWII American carriers to survive the war out of the 7 ships built prior to the U.S entry in the war, MEANWHILE USS Langley CV-1, USS Lexington CV-2, USS Yorktown CV-5, USS Wasp CV-7, and USS Hornet CV-8 were all sunk.

Also idk what's so great about HIJMS Shinano? Only that she was the largest flattop built during the war thanks to her conversion, and to embarrass her even more she was rushed to frontline combat while still not being ready cause her construction is not yet still finished and to be SUNK by USS Archerfish (SS-311) of all things, and add to that she doesn't even have a proper embarked air wing on board, but were transporting "special type aircraft" aka Kamikaze aircraft.

Enterprise, Hornet, Essex, Wasp, Intrepid, Bunker Hill, Ark Royal, Victorious, Illustrious, Taiho, Hiryū, Soryū, Shōkaku, Zuikaku are also good mentions but the lack of Enterprise and Ark Royal specifically hurt the most.

What about Hyuga, Ise, Ark Royal, Bataan

The Shinano doesn't really deserve a place on the list as it never fought and had arround half the aircraft that the USS Enterprise had. 42-47 for Shinano against a 96 maximum with 80-90 average for Enterprise. The Shinano also had less aircraft than the older and much smaller carriers Taiho (68) and Shokaku (96). I know the number of aircraft is not a reflection of effectiveness but the only thing the Shinano is better at than other carries (especially late war US carriers) is size and displacement. It probably would have been more of a supply carrier then an actual fleet carrier.
