Finally the TKS saga has come to an end! The last piece of the puzzle was a wagon and the TKS transfer tank/pump. Now that this is all put together check it all out. I am prepping for a winter flight to northern Wisconsin. Its going to be snowy up there so its time to put the TKS systems to the test in the hangar!

Check out the links below for all items I used incase you want to get them for your hangar as well!

Nice Vid! My home airport. That building behind you, next to Hawthorne, is where it all started for me!

Love watching your videos Al. I'm a Cirrus owner here in Santa Monica and I recently got a refresher course in how to handle the hot start through one of your videos. Very helpful. Keep em coming. Cheers-Ren

I’d like to wish you a happy new year as well. I’m not even a pilot as of yet, but I like all your tips and tricks, especially on how you choose to maintain and clean your Cirrus. I’d like to meet you at some point if you ever make it out to New Jersey, specifically Princeton. There actually is a small airport in Princeton with a Cirrus training school. Please keep the information flying. . . . lol

Remember, you have to run the TKS fluid thru the wings monthly. Do it while flying because on the ground the fluid makes a major mess and the system does not run as efficiently. While flying make sure the fluid streaks out along the ENTIRE wing, from root to tip. Takes about 10 minutes in the air.

How much TKS fluid to you buy at a time?
How much is it?
How long does 55 gal last you?

Good prep video Al. It would have been nice to see you fly that trip and see how you employed the TKS and negotiated the weather. I’m a desert flyer but have a trip to Grand Forks in a couple of weeks. Go Pros in future videos maybe???? Cheers!

I watch this annually to refresh. Can you show how you use the garden sprayer and the spray bottle? Are those to put a preventative layer of TKS on before taxi? I am always worried about that tiny bit of condensation that forms on the wings on a cold morning.

Al, I ordered the items from your link and the mouth of the container I got was about 4” or so and none of the attachments that came with the pump fit on that. Was there anything else you ordered in order to get it mounted on?
