It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere...

This is a 4K HDR segment pulled directly from my extended edit of Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, simply titled "Attack of the Clones Extended Edition". A whopping total of 10 deleted scenes have been restored into this edit. If you've seen the previous version, this is an updated v2.0 of the cut using newly AI-upscaled versions of the scenes, along with several other smaller tweaks to audio, color timing, and transitions.

The following Restored Deleted Scenes are included in this cut:

Padme Addresses the Senate
Jedi Temple Analysis Room
The Lost Twenty
Obi-Wan and Mace - Jedi Landing Platform
Extended Arrival on Naboo
Padme's Parents' House
Anakin and Ruwee
Padme's Bedroom
Dooku Interrogates Padme
Anakin and Padme on Trial

The cut is available in both 4K HDR and 1080p SDR, along with my other edits like the 4.5 hour Revenge of the Sith - The Siege of Mandaore Supercut, The Extended Phantom Menace Edition, Star Wars Episode IV - The Rogue Cut, and many more!

Peak dialogue, peak delivery, zero flaws, no notes

the most important scene in the entirety of star wars, featuring the greatest flirting ever to be seen in the history of man

chosen one rizz - no one talks about padme saying “i love the water” 2 seconds before he says his line - so it makes his response feel a little more natural

This awkward dialogue two decades later is actually kinda cute 😭

"I don't like sand." is still a better line than "Somehow Palpatine returned."

This isn't nearly as uncomfortable as I remember it being. Well, it's uncomfortable, but not because it's oddly executed. It's very well-executed. I can see the nuances in their faces better with life experience--he wasn't creepy; he was awkward. He's a fearful, awkward kid trying to bat out of his league, and she's feeling incredibly conflicted about it because of the feelings and the duty and the guilt over whether she even SHOULD feel those things. And he comes in feeling powerless and insecure, and he tries and fails to look cool, but she sees right through into his heart and just melts over HIM. It just reads better every time I watch it.

It's ironic that he doesn't like sand because sand also got him burned in episode 3. He tried to climb the sandy hill after his legs and arm were cut off but no matter how hard he tried, the sand was too loose and kept bringing him down.

Disney will never reach this level of storytelling. Lucas has the higher ground.

Hayden is great choice for Anakin Skywalker. Would you guys agree?

You gotta admit, the acting makes this scene works perfectly as awkward moment between characters. Right after he says “I’m sorry”, that’s the face you make when you get that *one* moment with your crush and blow it. Even Padmé looked awkward/uncomfortable with that side eye. 🤣

I feel like it’s supposed to be essential to Anakin’s character development; his life is just one wrong move/mishap after another.

Say what you want, but he still has better social game than me lol

Prequel haters still exist, and I’m fuming

I should rewatch the prequels. This is actually a really good scene for what it is. For example, we learn that both of these characters are opposites in many ways.

I know this from a painting, Villa Balbianello Lake Como. Good to know Padme Amidala went there for school retreat, and there's no sand there really- rocks and pebbles, so our awkward hero is fine.

Sam Kinison: “It’s gonna be sand! You live in a fucking desert!”

Well... At least CGI is not noticed here. Just Lake Como. These homages are among the strongest points of the movie. Like the scene in Seville when the arrival to Naboo. I'm from Spain so I always thanked Georges Lucas for that.

0:37-0:45 Rey: I missed the part where that’s my problem.

"swim to that island", what in that dark green algae ridden water?

0:38 There was a time above. A time when kids who enjoyed the Prequels would just not be bothered a line of dialogue like that. But, unfortunately, because so many OT man babies complain about how cringy it is, that’s no longer the case.
