This one got it done in 30 seconds. I used Chrome and the key was the address she lists to use in the browser.

would be much more useful if you went that little bit further and showed how to make it an icon on the ipad so you dont have to keep typing in a URL - the logging out bit was quite the opposite of what most people would want - they would want to easily keep using the whats app until they choose not to

Nah it didn’t work. The whatsapp web link will not lead you to the QR code.
